Scott N. Schafrank, MD

Scott N. Schafrank, MD is our senior and founding physician. He is particularly proud that Main Line Dermatology remains one of the few physician- owned dermatology practices on the Main Line, thus free of corporate influence that could compromise patient care.

Dr. Schafrank completed his internal medicine training at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and is an Alpha Omega Alpha honor graduate of Cornell University Medical College. He received his dermatological training at Boston University and Tufts-New England Medical Centers, where he served as chief resident.

Dr. Schafrank has received many awards, including the coveted “Top Doctor” designation by Philadelphia Magazine and Castle Connolly for over 20 years consecutively.

Specializing in skin cancer detection and cosmetic repair. Dr. Schafrank has additional expertise in cosmetic laser surgery and anti-aging techniques, including the removal of age spots, unwanted pigmentation and facial redness.

He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Schafrank is a Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude graduate of Tufts University. He has two grown daughters, one a surgeon at UCLA and the other an executive with Amazon, and lives with his wife in Chester County
