Main Line Dermatology No Show Policy
There is an extremely high demand for dermatologic care in our community. As a result, each time a patient fails to keep an appointment without proper notice, another patient is prevented from receiving care. Given that the bulk of our patients are being treated or screened for skin cancer, this could have dire consequences for patients who need to be seen in a timely manner.
Main Line Dermatology will continue to provide multiple appointment reminders (via call, text and email), and these will be sent to patients to provide ample time and opportunities to request to reschedule appointments.
In an effort to improve access to skin care, a No-Show Policy has been implemented. Patients who wish to cancel their appointment are required to notify the office at least 24 hours BEFORE their scheduled appointment time. Patients who do not show up for their appointment or do not provide notification to cancel at least 24 hours before their appointment time will be charged a $30 No-Show fee for missed appointment and a $100 No-Show fee for missed surgical/ cosmetic procedures. This fee is NOT covered by insurance and must be paid in full by the patient prior to his or her next appointment.
